Well, they certainly have a sense of humor. South Fork, a band comprised of three regular ‘Joes’ with a ginormous amount of talent, Shane Workman, Matt Pruden, and Miki Novak from Northern California, is keeping the Central Valley on its toes with its downhome Southern Rock style music. Occasionally, they’ll add a 4th ‘Joe’ to the mix ‘aka’ Andre Fylling. Let’s further confuse you: “Southern Rock is a subgenre of rock music and a genre of Americana.” Got that? Some infamous Southern rock bands are The Allman Brothers Band, The Marshall Tucker Band, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. This band, like those three, are becoming known for their songwriting flair. South Fork has just as many original songs as they do ‘covers’ and Miki says, “I am always surprised that we get the biggest response when we play our originals. People dig the music! They know the words, and they sing along, pretty cool!” With an impressive set of tunes such as ‘Train’, ‘Not This Time’, and ‘Run Away’, they are racking up the followers, fans, and stalkers alike.
